Is glow in the dark the new comic sans ms?

Seriously... I'm really tired of seeing bad use of glow in the dark! Getting really sick of those kind of design trying to do a "surprise" in the dark! I think it should be only use to justify a good concept! Not as random as it is right now!

There have been some interesting uses of glow-in-the-dark in designs.

The thing is, I don't think there would ever be a situation where I'm going to be completely in the dark.

I'm a hypocrite. I just remembered that I fived a glow in the dark design yesterday.

That being said, the design would still be alot cooler if it did not have glow in the dark ink!

well i like the idea of innovative! don't get me wrong! Like i 5$ some in the glow design because the design is awesome! But others are just....

It's kinda what happens in nearly every contest using such an exclusive theme (although this GID contest coulda been about so so much), where by the end of the competition what was once pretty damned innovative just has the same or the most pedestrian of ideas using gid for not other reason than there's a contest about it coming through the voting pipeline. The gmail contest was the worst: i couldn't even look at another tin-can phone, connect four or world map design again for like half a year.
